Subterranean invertebrates in the IUCN Red List

As of January 2023, there are 1115 invertebrate species from subterranean habitats in the IUCN Red List.  Taxonomically, only one species belongs to Onychophora, 543 are arthropods while 571 are mollusks.

All these species were recorded in two habitat types:

5.18. Wetlands (inland) – Karst and Other Subterranean Hydrological Systems (inland)- Caves and Subterranean Habitats (non-aquatic)
